My friend Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2013, four years after me. I know what she is going through. It feels like she is walking through hell without a fire-retardant suit for protection. In a word, chemo is…

HELLISH!

And Mary has 15 months of it : some of it behind her, some of it ahead of her.

Yet in her strength bound with faith, she marches forward –  believing in God, her family and the healing power of love.

Mary sent an email today, to several friends who once attended church together. In it, she stated simply: Have a great day. GOD IS GOOD!! Then, whether drawn from her own life or borrowed along the way, she included 45 life philosophies. Number 13 was among my favorites.

13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. – Regina Brett
